Why Mârani Honey?

Chestnut honey is the only food on Earth with meaningfully significant levels of KYNA - a bioactive compound researched for its anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, and gut-supporting properties.

Mârani takes that further. High-altitude Himalayan forests. A single annual harvest window. From only the highest-bioactive batches. Native bees that cannot be farmed. Every jar NMR-tested and blockchain-traced before it leaves us.

How to Use

Daily ritual: 1 tsp each morning, straight from the jar

With food: Drizzle over yogurt, toast, oatmeal, or cheese boards
For best results: Take consistently for 60 days - KYNA builds cumulatively in the body

How to Engage it?

The Protocol
One measured spoonful, neat, allowed to dissolve slowly on the tongue. Mârani is bitter-forward and tannic; taken this way, the flavor architecture unfolds rather than arrives.
In Drinks
Stir into warm water, herbal tea, or coffee (warm, never boiling).
Pairings
Gold: Aged Pecorino, warm sourdough, thick yogurt, single-origin tea.
Reserve: Parmigiano Reggiano, a dark chocolate torte, or nothing at all.
On Crystallization
Crystallization is normal in raw, unfiltered honey. However, Himalayan chestnut honey is unusual because it naturally resists crystallization, so it often remains fluid for longer than many other honeys.
Storage
Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate.

Why Mârani Is Different

Not all premium honey earns its price.

Mârani Gold is defined by what's measurably inside the jar - one rare bioactive compound (KYNA), verified in every batch. One harvest window per year, determined entirely by nature. One source you can trace, all the way to the specific batch.

Most honey cannot answer these questions. Mârani was built so it never has to avoid them.

High in Nepal's untouched valleys, where mist clings to ancient chestnut forests, wild Apis cerana bees forage on chestnut blooms that exist for thirty days each year - and nothing more.

Mârani means "treasure." It is a single-origin honey shaped entirely by altitude, season, and the wisdom of mountain communities who have worked this way for generations.

From the pristine Himalayas to your table. Kept exactly as it was found.

FAQs

What makes Mârani different from Manuka honey or regular honey?

Manuka honey is known for MGO - a naturally occurring antibacterial compound. Mârani is known for KYNA - Kynurenic Acid - a completely different bioactive compound with distinct neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, and gut-supporting properties. The two compounds are unrelated. Mârani also holds the distinction of being the world's first single-origin honey with full blockchain traceability, verified by NMR testing on every batch.

Where does Mârani come from?

it's accurate

What is KYNA and why does it matter?

KYNA (Kynurenic Acid) is a naturally occurring bioactive compound found in meaningful concentrations only in chestnut honey. Tap below to learn more." Then the Learn what is KYNA link.

How do I know my honey is genuine and unadulterated?

Every jar of Mârani undergoes NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) testing - the gold standard in honey authentication - which detects adulteration at a molecular level. Each jar also carries a QR code linked to its blockchain record, showing the harvest date, batch number, and origin location. You can verify your specific jar before you open it.

Why does the honey sometimes look darker or more solid?

Mârani is raw and unfiltered, which means its appearance varies naturally by batch and season - this is a sign of authenticity, not inconsistency. Crystallisation is natural and occurs when raw honey returns to its solid state. To re-liquify, place the jar in warm water below 40°C. Never microwave or use boiling water as this destroys the bioactive compounds.

How long does one jar last and how should I take it?

At 1 teaspoon per day, a 250g jar provides approximately 35 servings — roughly five weeks of daily use. For best results, take consistently for 60 days. KYNA builds cumulatively in the body.

Is Mârani safe for diabetics or people managing blood sugar?

Mârani supports glycemic balance and contains no added sugar. However, it is a natural honey and contains natural sugars. If you are managing a medical condition, please consult your healthcare provider before incorporating Mârani into your routine. This is not intended as medical advice.

Can I cook or bake with Mârani?

Mârani can be used in cooking, but heating above 40°C degrades the KYNA and other bioactive compounds that make it exceptional. For maximum benefit, use it raw — on the spoon, stirred into warm (not hot) drinks, or drizzled over food after cooking.

Caroline Davidson

I like that it feels premium because of the sourcing, not because it's covered in buzzwords.

C
Conrad

My mom usually hates trying “fancy food brands” but even she asked where this was from 😄

A
Amari

Rarely get excited about wellness products but this one actually feels unique. The Himalayan sourcing + KYNA angle makes it stand out.

B
Bella

I usually save premium products for special occasions, but this has somehow become part of my everyday breakfast routine 😅

N
Nathan

I've probably tried 15-20 different honey brands over the years and this is the first one that didn't just taste sweet. There's actual depth to it.

A
Audrey

Was honestly here for the packaging at first lol but the honey itself turned out to be amazing. Rich, smooth and kinda smoky in the best way.

T
Theo

One thing I genuinely appreciated was that the branding doesn’t scream “health product” everywhere. Feels refined! P.S. - it is unprocessed and has no added sugar.

L
Lyra

I travel a lot for work and usually carry energy gels/snacks for quick energy. Tried this during a long drive and i avoid getting that sugar crash feeling afterwards. Worth a shot!

I
Ivana West

The unboxing was beautiful, but what impressed me more was that the product itself lived up to the presentation.

A
Adaline

Opened the jar last night just to try one spoon and somehow ended up having three 😂 really unique flavor profile.

V
Valeria

Most wellness products rely heavily on marketing. I appreciated that there was actual science to explore here. Went down a KYNA rabbit hole after my first jar 🤓

B
Brooklyn

Had no idea chestnut honey was its own category. Glad I discovered it through Marani because now regular honey tastes a little boring.

R
Ruben

ngl I didn’t expect chestnut honey to taste THIS different. More depth, less sugary sweetness. Really enjoying it.

D
Dalton Uriel

Switched from imported Manuka recently and this feels way more versatile for daily consumption tbh.

C
Cyrus

I've been using Nate's honey for years, so I wasn't expecting to switch anytime soon. After a couple of weeks with Marani, though, I find myself reaching for this jar first. The flavor is just much more interesting.

R
Rafael Sutton

Getting access to one of the early batches felt pretty cool. Years from now, I'll be able to say I tried Marani before everyone was talking about it 😄

K
Knox

Went down a rabbit hole reading about KYNA after receiving my jar 😅. The science is interesting, but honestly I'd keep buying it for the taste alone. It's become my go-to honey for morning tea.

J
Juliana

One thing I noticed immediately: you don't need much. The flavor is so rich that a little goes a long way.

P
Phoebe

I've become one of those annoying people who brings their own honey when traveling. Didn't think I'd get attached to a honey brand, but here we are.

S
Sloane

The best part is that it doesn't overpower everything. Works just as well with yogurt as it does with cheeses or fruit.

J
Jameson

First impression - texture is insane. Thick but super smooth. You can tell it’s not overly processed.

P
Parker

Usually stick to Nate’s honey because it’s consistent, but Marani feels way more raw and layered in flavor.

C
Celine

First spoon and I immediately knew this wasn’t regular honey 😄

H
Hallie

Just like creatine, I had no idea our body naturally produces KYNA too. That whole science angle behind Marani is pretty fascinating.

I
Ivan

Switched from Manuka recently and honestly didn’t expect to like this more. Rich taste, smooth texture and feels very clean overall.

A
Austin

I like that it tastes natural without trying too hard to be “healthy”. Just good quality honey done properly.

B
Blake

Had no idea chestnut honey was its own category. Glad I discovered it through Marani because now regular honey tastes a little boring.

R
Rylee

Didn’t know chestnut honey was considered a superfood until recently 👀 definitely feels richer and more nutrient-dense compared to regular honey.

F
Finn

My favorite thing about it is actually what it doesn't have. No added ingredients, no weird flavors, just honey.

A
Ace

As someone who's cut back on processed foods this year, finding something that's genuinely 100% pure has been refreshing. No fillers, no nonsense.

C
Callum

I was expecting something close to mad honey at first but this is completely different. Much smoother, cleaner and actually easy to have every day.
