Why Mârani Honey?

Chestnut honey is the only food on Earth with meaningfully significant levels of KYNA - a bioactive compound researched for its anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, and gut-supporting properties.

Mârani takes that further. High-altitude Himalayan forests. A single annual harvest window. From only the highest-bioactive batches. Native bees that cannot be farmed. Every jar NMR-tested and blockchain-traced before it leaves us.

How to Use

Daily ritual: 1 tsp each morning, straight from the jar
In drinks: Stir into warm water, herbal tea, or coffee — never boiling
With food: Drizzle over yogurt, toast, oatmeal, or cheese boards
For best results: Take consistently for 60 days - KYNA builds cumulatively in the body
Storage: Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. No refrigeration needed.

How to Engage it?

The Protocol
One measured spoonful, neat, allowed to dissolve slowly on the tongue. Mârani is bitter-forward and tannic; taken this way, the flavor architecture unfolds rather than arrives.
In Drinks
Stir into warm water, herbal tea, or coffee (warm, never boiling).
Pairings
Gold: Aged Pecorino, warm sourdough, thick yogurt, single-origin tea.
Reserve: Parmigiano Reggiano, a dark chocolate torte, or nothing at all.
On Crystallization
Crystallization is normal in raw, unfiltered honey. However, Himalayan chestnut honey is unusual because it naturally resists crystallization, so it often remains fluid for longer than many other honeys.
Storage
Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate.

Why Mârani Is Different

Not all premium honey earns its price.

Mârani Gold is defined by what's measurably inside the jar - one rare bioactive compound (KYNA), verified in every batch. One harvest window per year, determined entirely by nature. One source you can trace, all the way to the specific batch.

Most honey cannot answer these questions. Mârani was built so it never has to avoid them.

Mârani means "treasure." It is a single-origin honey shaped entirely by altitude, season, and the wisdom of mountain communities who have worked this way for generations.

From the pristine Himalayas to your table. Kept exactly as it was found.

FAQs

What makes Mârani different from Manuka honey or regular honey?

Manuka honey is known for MGO - a naturally occurring antibacterial compound. Mârani is known for KYNA - Kynurenic Acid - a completely different bioactive compound with distinct neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, and gut-supporting properties. The two compounds are unrelated. Mârani also holds the distinction of being the world's first single-origin honey with full blockchain traceability, verified by NMR testing on every batch.

Where does Mârani come from?

it's accurate

What is KYNA and why does it matter?

KYNA (Kynurenic Acid) is a naturally occurring bioactive compound found in meaningful concentrations only in chestnut honey. Tap below to learn more." Then the Learn what is KYNA link.

How do I know my honey is genuine and unadulterated?

Every jar of Mârani undergoes NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) testing - the gold standard in honey authentication - which detects adulteration at a molecular level. Each jar also carries a QR code linked to its blockchain record, showing the harvest date, batch number, and origin location. You can verify your specific jar before you open it.

Why does the honey sometimes look darker or more solid?

Mârani is raw and unfiltered, which means its appearance varies naturally by batch and season - this is a sign of authenticity, not inconsistency. Crystallisation is natural and occurs when raw honey returns to its solid state. To re-liquify, place the jar in warm water below 40°C. Never microwave or use boiling water as this destroys the bioactive compounds.

How long does one jar last and how should I take it?

At 1 teaspoon per day, a 250g jar provides approximately 35 servings — roughly five weeks of daily use. For best results, take consistently for 60 days. KYNA builds cumulatively in the body.

Is Mârani safe for diabetics or people managing blood sugar?

Mârani supports glycemic balance and contains no added sugar. However, it is a natural honey and contains natural sugars. If you are managing a medical condition, please consult your healthcare provider before incorporating Mârani into your routine. This is not intended as medical advice.

Can I cook or bake with Mârani?

Mârani can be used in cooking, but heating above 40°C degrades the KYNA and other bioactive compounds that make it exceptional. For maximum benefit, use it raw — on the spoon, stirred into warm (not hot) drinks, or drizzled over food after cooking.

I’ve been adding it to warm water before bed - its not too sweet and has a smooth texture + sits easy on the stomach for me.

M

The fact that it's harvested for only about a month each year makes me appreciate it more. Feels less like a commodity and more like a seasonal product.

L
Lea John

Took a spoon before my early morning runs for the last week and I’ve actually started preferring this over packaged energy gels. Feels lighter and more natural. Packaging is beautiful too.

As someone who travels a lot, I appreciate products that feel thoughtful. From the unboxing to the actual taste, everything feels intentional.

Amazing quality

An exceptional honey that feels luxurious without being overcomplicated. The flavor profile is unique, the consistency is perfect, and the overall quality is evident from the first taste. It has become my favorite way to add a touch of natural sweetness to my mornings.

Incredible results, go for it

I hadn’t added honey into my diet until last year, so I always treated it like any other commodity and went for cheap store bought ones. But after a friend brought up single origin honey and its overall benefits, I always wanted to incorporate it into my diet. And I can tell you, after a few days of having this honey raw, with overnight oats, sometimes with tea, and even once with ice cream, I feel a significant improvement in my gut health and overall “calmness”. While correlation isn’t causation, I haven’t changed anything else in my routine to feel so noticeably better. I truly believe that this is the single-malt of honeys. Give it a go once and you’ll not be disappointed. Definitely going to try the reserve next.

And props to the beautiful packaging. Was worried USPS might mess it up, but it was packed perfectly.

Beautiful Packaging & Loved the (not overtly sweet) Taste

Grateful for getting access to the first batch ever released worldwide. Right from the unboxing experience to the Himalayas storyline and eventually the texture and taste - can't recommend this highly enough. Having been a Manuka consumer for years now, shifting to Marani honey seems like a real possibility.

Freya

There's something reassuring about knowing this hasn't been heavily processed. It tastes closer to what I'd imagine honey should taste like.

The traceability aspect is what initially caught my attention. Being able to see where the honey comes from is pretty cool. After trying it, I can honestly say the product stands on its own too. Rich, smooth and not overly sweet.

M
Melissa

The consistency is what stood out to me first. Thick but still smooth. Also appreciate that it’s single origin and blockchain verified. Feels like there’s actual care behind the product.

D
Dwayne

I bought this mainly out of curiosity and ended up ordering another jar for my parents within a week.

G
George

My wife bought this for herself and I ended up finishing half the jar 😂. Definitely one of those products that grows on you.

M
Madisson

Honestly bought this as a gift and ended up ordering a jar for myself a week later.

L

It's rare that a food product feels both luxurious and genuinely natural at the same time. This somehow manages both.

B

At first I wasn’t sure if chestnut honey would be too strong for my taste, but after 2-3 days I got hooked. Especially good on toast with a little butter. Simple but sooo good 🤌

E
Elena

Been a Manukora user for almost 2 years now but this was honestly such an interesting switch. Less medicinal, more enjoyable for daily use imo.

C
Catherine

I've started hiding this jar behind other things in the pantry because everyone in my house suddenly became a honey enthusiast 🤣🍯.

D
Damian

Never thought I'd describe honey as "complex" but here we are 😂. Every spoon tastes slightly different and that's what makes it interesting.

T
Talia

May be a small thing but I liked that the sweetness doesn’t hit all at once. It’s more layered and mellow. My parents loved it with their herbal tea. They may shift from Manuka honey altogether now :)

S
Scarlett

I originally bought this because the packaging looked beautiful. Expected the experience to be all branding and storytelling, but the honey itself ended up being the standout. Rich taste, great texture and feels genuinely premium.

J
Josephine

My biggest mistake was letting my family try it 😅. The jar disappeared way faster than I expected. Ordering another one soon.

L
Lillian

The traceability feature is such a flex. Being able to see where your honey actually came from is something I wish more food brands did.

E
Eleanor

I was lucky enough to get access to one of the early batches and went into it with fairly high expectations because of all the storytelling around the product. Surprisingly, the honey itself ended up being the highlight. The flavor is rich and layered without being overwhelmingly sweet. I've tried plenty of premium honeys before, but this felt genuinely different. The fact that it's harvested during such a short period each year makes it feel even more special. Looking forward to seeing where the brand goes from here.

L
Lydia

Bought it mainly because I wanted to cut down on refined sugar wherever possible. Been using this in overnight oats and coffee instead. Pretty happy w the switch so far.

G
Gabriella

Since it’s not overly sweet, I barely need half the amount I’d normally use. One jar is easily gonna last me 2+ months.

E
Eden

Been reading more about KYNA after trying this and honestly super curious now. Never knew honey could have compounds linked to focus and recovery.

A
Ariana

You know a product is good when you start rationing it because you don't want the jar to finish too quickly 😆🍯

S
Sawyer

My favorite thing about Marani is that it sparks conversations. Every time someone tries it, the reaction is usually: "Wait... this is honey?" 😄

L
Leonardo

I'll be honest—I expected this to be another premium food product with a great story and an average product behind it. Thankfully, that wasn't the case. The first thing I noticed was the texture, followed by the depth of flavor. It's not aggressively sweet, which I actually appreciate. Over the past few weeks, it's become something I use almost every day, whether in tea, yogurt or simply by the spoonful. That's probably the best endorsement I can give.
